The building that houses UTEC, designed by a non Peruvian firm Grafton architects, has won this year’s International RIBA Award. The building design was selected after an architectural competition and is after the critics the “modern version of Machu Picchu”. Not sure I want to see it this way, knowing its context is a busy neighbourhood in this capital city.
